XJ00 - Eastern Snake River Plain Experiment This 4-station, 7 site experiment was designed to test mantle deformation models along a hotspot axis. Our methods are passive source in origin, and primarily involve determining the geometry of mantle anisotropy. This geometry can constrain the nature of mantle deformation and coupling between the plate and underlying asthenosphere. 2000-07-16 / 2001-12-31
